Allergies and Sleep Apnoea

In the news today we spotted an interesting article about a study of patients with Chronic Urticaria suggesting that a quarter could be at an intermediate risk of developing Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.

The article links you directly to the actual study, the results of which suggest that a considerable proportion of patients with CU are at intermediate to high risk for OSA. Additional studies are needed to determine the exact link between these conditions, and to determine whether screening and treatment for OSA might benefit patients with CU.
